“Sherlock Holmes and the Eye of Heka” is written by David Marcum and published by MX Publishing.
I received a copy from MX Publishing for review.
Early in 1888 a personal tragedy has rocked John Watson’s world and he has returned to Baker Street to live. It does not take long for him to once again be swept up into Holmes’s adventures. In this case, the adventure involves a madman targeting John Watson and an exotic idol known as “The Eye of Heka”.
Once again, David Marcum has given us a fabulous story.
“Sherlock Holmes and the Eye of Heka” is a delicious blend of Arthur Conan Doyle and H. Rider Haggard. The tale fairly rips along drawing the reader in its wake.
If anyone can be said to have inherited the mantel of Arthur Conan Doyle, it is David Marcum.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
