Sherlock Holmes: The French Conundrum

I received a copy of “this “Sherlock Holmes: The French Conundrum” by James Heatherly from MX Publishing for review.

“The French Conundrum” is the second book in the Sinister House series.

In the first book, anarchists were setting up assassination attempts in England and in France. In the second book the anarchy is spreading deeper into Europe. There is another assassination plot in England with a much higher target than the first one.

James Heatherly writes an interesting Holmes and Watson. Where he really excels, however, is in the creation of memorable, original, characters who fit seamlessly into the Holmesian framework. It is hard to remember that Burke and Hobbs are not canon characters, so well do they blend into the story.

The French Conundrum is a top-notch political thriller. The ending is explosive, leaving the reader waiting impatiently for book three.

Highly recommended. You can purchase your own copy here.
